It is 48 hours for a prescription to be processed at the practice and it can be a further 48 hours at the pharmacy. We would like to advise patients that to ensure they receive their prescription in a timely manner, they should order their repeat prescriptions one week in advance.

Community Nurses

Wendy Linden RGN, Dorothy Smith RGN, BSc Health Studies Irene Kneale RGN Pauline Rhodie Aux Nurse The district nursing team carry out nursing care for housebound patients within the home including palliative care, terminal care and specialist care (e.g. leg ulcer assessment).The district nurse team is based at Drumchapel Health Centre, they can be contacted on 0141 355 2180. There is an answering machine if they are not available.

Health Visitors

Stephen Nelson RGN.BSc DN.PgPH/HV and Rehana Ahmed RGN.BSc. The Health Visitor Team incorporate the traditional role of the Health Visitor including advising supporting and visiting new mothers until the child is aged five and beyond, Health Promotion and disease prevention for families (including monitoring of infant development, immunisation and child protection) Community development work including input to projects that are of benefit to the whole practice population.
