Travel Advice
Travel vaccinations are temporarily suspended
If you are travelling in less than 6 weeks Anniesland Medical Practice is unable to provide you with a travel service, but we would recommend you attend one of the EXTERNAL TRAVEL CLINICS (Links).
We only offer vaccines for tetanus, diptheria, polio, hep A and typhoid for travel purposes.
Please could you phone as soon as possible to arrange 2 appointments with the Practice Nurse at our travel clinic. Our travel clinic is on a Wednesday afternoon between 4pm and 5.30pm.
The first appointment will be to discuss your travel plans,to allow the nurse to make an informed risk assessment and arrange travel vaccines as required. The second appointment will be to return for these vaccines.
To help us offer appropriate advice please complete our Travel Risk Assessment Form. This must be handed into the surgery before your travel clinic appointment. If you have had vaccines outwith the surgery, please add this to the form and we will update your records.
Please ensure this form is fully completed with accurate information regarding country/regions/cities to be visited and type of accomodation to allow us to assess your risk.
If you have had vaccines outwith the surgery please could you add this to the form. When you have collected your vaccines they must be STORED IN A FRIDGE AT ALL TIMES. If you do not have a suitable fridge you could hand these into the surgery to store until your appointment or ask the pharmacy to store these.
